One of the most loved features of SimilarTech is the ability to get 'alerts' delivered to your inbox when a competing software platform starts to be used by a prospect that could be your customer!
When creating SimilarTech, we wanted to offer sales and marketing professionals actionable insights that go beyond prospects lists. That's why we introduced alert, an automatic way to stay on top of the industry by receiving the insights that are most relevant to build your business with the best leads, when it matters.
While initially out tech alerts where emailed daily, we received feedback from our users that it's much easier for them to receive a weekly debrief with all the alerts in a single email to be able to allocate some time every week to investigate, qualify and connect with the new potential leads.
That's why from this month, SimilarTech alerts will be sent to all our users on a weekly basis, directly to your inbox.
How do I set up my alerts?
If you haven't set up your alerts yet, setting them up is as simple as it gets. Simply select the technology you'd like to track, the traffic range of the sites using this technology you're interested in and their geographic location and you're good to go!
In addition to receiving a weekly email with the list of sites using the technologies you want an alert for, you will be able to review all the alerts together in your SimilarTech dashboard with a list that enables you to get further insights on the selected companies within our platform. This means that can use SimilarTech's prospecting capabilities to assess whether they are relevant to your business or not based on their traffic stats, company info, geography, etc.
How can I make the most of SmilarTech alerts?
Your alerts will help you with key strategic insights such as:
1. When a company stops using your competitor's technology there's a high chance it is because they're unhappy with it and might be looking for an alternative to fill the void...
2. When a website starts using a competing technology there is often a 'trial period' for a company to decide whether they're happy with the product and the service. Leveraging this knowledge can be useful to present an alternative solution.
3. Many technologies or platforms are inter-dependent. For example, a payment solution might be only compatible with online shops built with Shopify. Receiving an alert when a new qualified lead (based on traffic, geography and category) starts using Shopify will enable the provider of the payment solution find a hyper-targeted lead knowing that his solution will fit the prospect's platform.
4. With websites adding and removing platforms constantly, thanks to the explosion in technologies available, it can be really hard to keep up with the changes and even harder to connect with prospects that are highly relevant.
