SimilarTech's 2017 Year in Review

At SimilarTech, we’re constantly working to help our customers find their greenfield opportunities, which is why I’m so excited to share a few highlights from a remarkable year. 

2017 saw the launch our SIP (Sales Insights Platform), bringing business insights to a new level with features that helped our clients expand into new verticals and grow like never before. We also added tons of new features and integrations to the platform, like custom reports and more filters than ever in addition to Salesforce and HubSpot integrations to make using SimilarTech more seamless than ever.

This year, we expanded our global presence to include offices in Japan and Brazil, bringing us even closer to our customers in Asia and South America. With our global expansion, we welcomed 20 new employees to the fold.

We’ve also expanded our client base 8-fold to include some of the largest and most prestigious SMB and enterprise brands.

In 2017 we won the Israeli chapter of the China Xi'an entrepreneurship competition. We beat out 20 companies in the Med-Tech, Software, 
Semi-Conductor, and Cyber Security sectors and sent our head of business development to China to participate in the international finals.

I was also invited to Peru to be the keynote speaker at APEC 2017 in Lima to speak about the challenges and opportunities in digital eCommerce. 
I was thrilled to learn directly from the APEC delegates about the challenges they face and present them with our insights about the eCommerce space and also talk about the exciting opportunities in APAC.

On the personal front, 2017 included major changes for some of our employees: Our Marketing Director had a daughter in June and our Head of Business Development got engaged. Congrats to all!

In 2018, we will continue to evolve and improve our SIP, enabling users to expand their sales with insights they can’t get anywhere else. Of course we will continue listening to your feature requests and improve our insights with machine learning. We are building up our data science team so our SIP can help anticipate your needs and help you discover new markets, and find greenfield opportunities. Additionally, we will be focusing on educational content by launching SimilarTech University to help our existing and potential customers learn how to leverage every aspect of our platform.
